Acton Court – Tours and events booking now

Acton Court will open to the public 29 May to 30 June 2024 for self-guided audio tours and events.

Admission gives access to the grounds, the Royal Apartments, the ground floor area and any activities that may be taking place on the day. Audio guides plus visual and written information will be provided.

Acton Court Tours

Learn the history of Acton Court at your own pace with our audio guides, free with your admission. There will be a selection of tours available, each with a different perspective. The House and Grounds will be open for tours from Wednesday 29 May to Friday 28 June 2024. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

There will be additional activities which are free to ticket holders which can be seen on the Acton Court website.

Admission times: 10:30-13:00 and 14:00-16:30. Adult £12.00 plus Eventbrite booking fee.

The King’s Heralds

Thursday 27 June 2024
A talk by one of His Majesty's heralds Dr Dominic Ingram, Portcullis Pursuivant. The history of heraldry and the role of the heralds is a fascinating story going back to medieval times. Heralds' royal duties today are ceremonial including roles at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral and the Coronation of Charles III.

Tudors, Magic and Music

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2024

Come to Acton Court’s end of season weekend which is always a joyous occasion. This year our special guests include Magician Greg Chapman - performing magic tricks from the 16th century, The Merchant’s House Musicians - playing traditional Tudor music on replica period instruments, Lady Samantha - demonstrating the dressing up and down of a Tudor Lady and leading visitors in Tudor dancing, Plus birds of prey, painting activity and display of Tudor Court Dress.
